Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 2026
Welcome to DeCaffeth. These Terms & Conditions explain how you may use our website, join our events and take part in our community channels. By accessing or participating in any of them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
1. About DeCaffeth
DeCaffeth is a volunteer-led community for people interested in Web3 and technology. We organize events, share knowledge and run community channels on platforms such as Luma, Telegram, Discord, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the DeCaffeth core team and contributors acting on behalf of the community.
2. Community Guidelines
Everyone is welcome here. To keep it that way:
- Respect others. Harassment, discrimination or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
- Keep it constructive. Conversations and discussions should remain professional, constructive and inclusive.
- Be honest. Sharing false or misleading information is prohibited, as are spam, unsolicited promotion, scams and requests for funds or wallet access.
- Respect privacy. Ask before photographing or recording someone, and do not share other people's private conversations or personal details.
- Follow the rules of the venue and the laws that apply where an event takes place.
If someone breaks these guidelines, we may remove content, ask them to leave an event, or remove them from our channels, at our discretion. To report a concern, contact us as described in section 11.
3. Events and Registration
- Registration may be required to attend an event. It is usually handled through Luma. We reserve the right to approve, decline or cancel participation.
- Places can be limited, and event details such as the date, venue, format and speakers may change. We will do our best to announce changes on our channels.
- Events are free unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for your own travel, accommodation and other costs.
- All events are community-driven and non-financial in nature.
4. Photos, Audio and Video
By attending an event, in person or online, you consent to photography, audio or video recording that may be used for community content and promotional purposes, including publication on our website and social channels. We share recordings of talks when possible and with speaker consent.
If you prefer not to appear in photos or recordings, tell an organizer at the event or contact us afterwards, and we will make reasonable efforts to leave you out or to remove you from published material.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
- Materials shared by speakers or community members remain their intellectual property unless otherwise stated.
- Speakers allow us a non-exclusive right to record, share and publish their talk and slides for community purposes, unless they tell us otherwise in writing.
- Content produced by DeCaffeth, including photos, videos, event summaries, articles and website text, may be used for community promotion. Please do not copy substantial parts of it for commercial use without asking us.
- The DeCaffeth name, logo and brand elements may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement by or affiliation with DeCaffeth without our permission.
6. No Advice and Web3 Risks
Our events, content and community discussions are for education and community building only. DeCaffeth does not provide investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and nothing we publish or say should be read as a recommendation to buy, sell or use any token, project or product.
- Speakers, partners and community members speak for themselves; their views are not necessarily ours.
- Crypto assets and blockchain applications involve significant risk, including the loss of funds. Do your own research.
- DeCaffeth will never ask for your private keys, seed phrase or money. Be cautious with unfamiliar links, offers and direct messages, even if they use our name.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
We use and link to services we do not control, such as Luma, Google Forms, Telegram, Discord, YouTube, sponsors and partner websites. They have their own terms and privacy practices, which apply when you use them. We do not guarantee or endorse them.
8. Privacy and Your Data
When you register for an event, fill in one of our forms or contact us, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address and the details you share. We use it to organize events, to contact you about them and to run the community, and we do not sell it. The platforms mentioned in section 7 process data under their own policies.
You can ask us to correct or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time by contacting us as described in section 11.
9. Disclaimer and Liability
- Participation in events and community channels is voluntary and at your own risk.
- Our website, events and content are provided “as is”, without promises of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- To the extent the law allows, DeCaffeth and the people who organize it are not liable for any personal, financial or technical damages that may arise from participation, from use of the website, or from third-party services, links or sponsors.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed, and we will announce significant changes on our channels. Continued participation means you accept the updated terms.
